Evolution of Firestone Tires-best auto zone

There is always a clear leader in every industry in the world. For tires, Firestone is the expert. Tires are produced by many other companies but most of them are no match for the quality and performance of Firestone tires. Harvey Firestone founded this company and built it from the ground up in 1990 which is named Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. The first products of this company includes tires for wagons, buggies and everything that had wheels used for transportation. Today's products are more advanced namely Firestone Destination LE, Firestone Destination AT, Firestone Destination MT and many others.

Despite being among other companies, Firestone always stood out from the crowd and their products are more appealing to the customers as they are one of the better known tire company. Due to its popularity and quality, Ford Motor Company made a deal with them to equip Firestone tires on all Ford models.
Firestone was originally founded in Akron, Ohio which is where the Goodyear company is based. The two companies have been tightly competitive with each other, challenging themselves to create quality tires. Firestone and Goodyear would be the largest producers for car tires in North America if both of them are united.
Firestone had its fair share of ups and downs through-out the years. Rivals of Firestone have started producing Radial Tires and Firestone was a little left behind in the 1960s. Firestone quickly caught up to produce Radial Tires but their efforts are somehow flawed. There were a number of problems that came with the new tires. Symptoms of separation of the tread can be seen at the steel-belted radials when a car is traveling at high speeds. The cement used was not effectively doing its job. This caused Firestone to recall all Radial Tires and tainted its reputation. However, Firestone came back into the game stronger than ever.
Generally, there are two main brand names which are Race and Street tires. Race tires are 14 inches wide and weigh 22 pounds and on the other hand, Street tires are 8 inches wide and weigh 33 pounds. Each type of tire has its own strength. The Street tires are suitable for all types of terrain. The Race brand is made for dry roads. They are designed differently to suit the needs of their users.
Another product from Firestone is the Fire Hawk SZ 50 which is of the Street type. It is better used for sports cars during the summer as it offers higher performance rate and unique tread designs. An all-rounder tire would be the Fire Hawk GTs. They can be used on all-weather roads and long-lasting. It is designed to be used in light trucks and cars while producing less noise.
The Firestone Destination LE, Firestone Destination AT and MT are really good for those traveling off-road. It can be used even in snowing and raining conditions. The tread patterns are designed for these kind of conditions. They provide enough traction and are durable enough to be maneuvered through mud and sand.
Current popular tires are the Firestone Destination LE and Firestone Destination AT. If you need a change of tires and still have not used Firestone products before. I suggest you start now and experience the difference in handling.
