Car Bulbs: How Your Car Bulbs Can Help You to Save Fuel

The current economic climate means that you'd have to be very fortunate to not want, or need, to save money, whilst the current actual climate needs all the help it can get. That's why changing your car bulbs from halogen to HID or LED is a no-brainer and will be one of the best (and cheapest and easiest!) upgrades you can make to your car.
Whether we're talking about your headlights, brake or tail lights, indicator/turn lights or even your interior and dashboard lamps, all use energy and that's reflected in the amount of fuel your car consumes.
Clearly, saving fuel = saving money, so how do you go about it and what are your options?
Firstly, it's important to know the difference between the bulbs. If you're reading this, your car is probably already fitted with halogen bulbs as standard - these are lit by a filament and have a much higher power consumption than HID and LED bulbs. They are also not as effective and have a shorter life span, which is why switching to another light source makes sense.

How Airbags Have Improved Road Safety-best auto zone

Fact: Airbags have improved road safety and they have done so in many different ways. It's something that most people just tend to just take for granted now. That they can travel on roads and highways in relative security but the truth is that it hasn't always been that way because driving used to be a whole lot more dangerous.
For instance, airbags have made travelling in a car a whole lot safer for children in particular. Kids have always tended to be among the most vulnerable in traffic accidents, and nothing has changed in that respect. Today though, with a child strapped in a car equipped with airbags, their odds of serious injury in a collision are trimmed way down.

Understanding Multi-Viscosity Motor Oils-best auto zone

I've lost track of how many times a customer has picked up...say a bottle of 5W/30 motor oil in my office, looked at the numbers on the bottle and asked me "so this oil is a 5 weight 30"?
Vehicle owners usually know that their car requires a certain viscosity and grade of motor oil as per their owners manual but more often than not don't know what these numbers mean.
The fact is that very few consumers understand today's multi-viscosity motor oil ratings or the nature of how these modern motor oil work as relates to the oils viscosity.
Viscosity is defined as a fluids resistance to flow at a specific temperature.
All multi viscosity motor oils will have two sets of numbers. The top (larger) number indicates the oils viscosity. The most common measurement of oil viscosity is called kinematic viscosity, which measures how fast the oil will flow down through a glass tube heated to 100 degrees centigrade (212F) when pulled through by gravity.

Keyless Entry Remote - How It Works-best auto zone

The keyless entry remote system offers to perform a number of functions in a car without manually operating the keys. This system simply works using the radio waves that are transmitted by the fob and received by the system installed in the car.
Keyless entry fobs helps the driver to lock or unlock the car doors without inserting the key into the lock and have become standard with the recent models of cars. The keyless entry system sends out a radio wave from the hand held device, known as fob or a remote, to the receiver installed in the vehicle. The receiver responds to the fob and performs various functions in the car. The cars that come with the keyless remote entry have better safety measures as the system eliminates any chances of the car theft.
